About PimpMyHound
PimpMyHound is a matchmaking platform for responsible dog owners across the United Kingdom. We make it easy to find a suitable breeding partner for your dog while keeping safety, privacy and welfare at the centre of every interaction.
What we do
We connect owners so they can discover, shortlist and match with other dogs that fit their breed, distance and temperament preferences. Profiles are free to create, and matching is always free and unlimited. When two owners like each other’s dogs, they match and can start a conversation.
We are an introduction service, not a breeder, broker or vet. We do not transport, sell, examine or take responsibility for any dog. Any arrangement made between members is theirs, and we always recommend up-to-date veterinary advice before any mating.
Why we built it
Finding a suitable breeding partner in the UK can be fragmented. Classified sites can feel impersonal, and social networks make it hard to filter by the things that really matter, breed, distance, temperament and responsible intent.
PimpMyHound was built to give owners a cleaner, safer way to make those connections: one rounded profile at a time, with clear expectations, straightforward tools and no hidden agenda.
Our stance on responsible breeding
We believe every mating decision should be informed, consensual and centred on the dog’s welfare. That means:
- Complying with the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and relevant UK breeding laws.
- Holding a local authority breeding licence where the rules in your nation require one.
- Verifying health tests, vaccinations and microchip details in person.
- Never using the platform to sell puppies, advertise banned breeds under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, or arrange anything illegal.
Breeding licences in the UK
There is no single UK-wide breeding licence rule. England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland each have their own licensing schemes and thresholds, so what applies to you depends on where you live. Check the official guidance for your nation and your local council before planning a litter:
- England: GOV.UK dog breeding licence
- Wales: GOV.WALES dog breeding licences
- Scotland: gov.scot animal welfare and pets
- Northern Ireland: nidirect dog breeding establishments
PimpMyHound is a matchmaking tool only. We do not check or verify anyone's licensing status and we do not give legal advice. It stays your responsibility to check and follow the rules where you live.
Neutering and owner choice
We do not take a medical position on whether a dog should be neutered. That is a personal decision that should be made with a qualified vet, taking into account the individual dog’s health, age, temperament and circumstances.
PimpMyHound exists for owners who have decided that breeding is right for their dog and want a respectful, safe place to find a match. We respect every owner’s right to make an informed choice for their animal.
Owner choice
Breeding decisions belong to the keeper, guided by their vet. We provide a neutral place to meet other responsible owners.
Safety first
Every member is 18+, every location is shown as approximate distance, and every profile can be reported or blocked.
Dog welfare
We expect members to follow UK animal welfare law, verify health records in person, and put the dog’s wellbeing before any arrangement.
Transparent pricing
Creating a profile, swiping and matching are free. Messaging costs £6.99 a month. No hidden fees, no commission, no upsells.
