Terms of Use
Last updated: 25 August 2026. These terms form a contract between you and PimpMyHound. By creating an account you confirm you have read and accept them, together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
PimpMyHound is an online introduction service for dog owners in the United Kingdom, operated from the UK. You can reach us at any time at hello@pimpmyhound.com. Where these terms mention "we", "us" or "our", they mean PimpMyHound.
2. Who can use PimpMyHound
You must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom. You must be the legal keeper of any dog you list, or have the keeper's permission. One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything done on your account.
3. What PimpMyHound is (and is not)
We are an introduction service. We connect dog owners; we do not breed, sell, transport, examine, insure or vet any dog, and we are not party to any arrangement you make with another member. We do not verify member identity, health documents, pedigrees or licences. Any stud fee, puppy arrangement or other agreement is strictly between the members involved.
4. Responsible breeding and the law
You must comply with the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and with the breeding legislation that applies where you live. Dog breeding licensing rules are not the same across the UK: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland each operate their own schemes with different thresholds and conditions. It is your responsibility to check the current rules with your local council or the official guidance for your nation, and to hold a licence if one is required. Nothing on this site is legal advice. Do not use PimpMyHound to sell puppies or to advertise banned breeds under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
5. Health and honesty
Health, vaccination and pedigree information is self-declared by members. Verify original documents yourself and take veterinary advice before any mating. Listing knowingly false information will result in removal.
6. Your content and our licence to use it
You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload. By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize and display that content for the purpose of operating the service. You confirm you own the content or have permission to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may remove content that breaches these terms or our moderation standards.
7. Our content
The PimpMyHound name, logo, site design, guides and other original material are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not copy, scrape, republish or resell them without our written permission.
8. Membership and pricing
Creating profiles, swiping and matching are free. Messaging requires a £6.99 per month membership, inclusive of any applicable VAT. The membership renews automatically each month on the same date until cancelled, and payment is taken on renewal using your saved payment method. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
9. Cancellation and your 14-day right to change your mind
Because this is a distance contract for digital services, you normally have 14 days from purchase to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. By subscribing you ask us to start the service immediately and acknowledge that once messaging is fully performed you lose that 14-day right. If you cancel within 14 days having used part of the service, we will refund the balance in proportion to what you have not used.
10. Refunds
Outside the 14-day period, monthly membership fees are non-refundable and cancelling stops the next renewal only; your membership continues to the end of the period you have paid for. We will refund in full where a payment was taken in error, where the service was unavailable for a prolonged period through our fault, or where the law requires it. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of us agreeing them. Nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to a service carried out with reasonable care and skill.
11. How to cancel
Cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription → Cancel subscription. Cancellation is immediate in effect on future billing and no reason is required. You can also email hello@pimpmyhound.com and we will cancel for you.
12. Conduct
No harassment, discrimination, scams, requests for advance payment, commercial spam, bulk messaging, automated scraping, or misuse of another member's photographs. Do not post content that is unlawful, sexual, cruel or misleading. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.
13. Reporting, suspension and termination
You can report or block any member from their profile or your chat. We review reports and may warn, restrict, suspend or permanently remove an account, with or without notice where there is a risk to members or animals. You may close your account at any time from Settings, which deletes your profile and dogs. If we terminate your account without cause while you hold a paid membership, we will refund the unused portion.
14. Complaints procedure
If something has gone wrong, email hello@pimpmyhound.com with the subject "Complaint" and include your account email and what happened. We aim to acknowledge within 2 working days and to give a full response within 14 working days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may ask for it to be reviewed once more by a different member of the team. If we still cannot resolve matters, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution provider, and you always retain the right to bring a claim in court.
15. Availability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service for maintenance, security or legal reasons, and may change or withdraw features. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
16. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, PimpMyHound is not liable for the conduct of members, the health or behaviour of any dog, or the outcome of any mating, payment or arrangement made through the platform. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for loss of profit or business opportunity. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the membership fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
17. Data protection
We handle personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect, why, how long we keep it and your rights.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or the law. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the app at least 14 days in advance. Continuing to use PimpMyHound after that date means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, you can cancel and close your account.
19. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else. These terms are the entire agreement between us regarding the service.
20. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
